RESEARCH OF FIRE RISKS IN SANATORIUM AND RESORT FACILITIES

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of fire risks in Ukrainian sanatorium and resort facilities and proposes a methodology for their comprehensive assessment. Specific risk factors inherent in sanatorium and resort facilities were analyzed, including the presence of different population groups, 24-hour operation, and complex planning structure. A mathematical model for calculating fire risk is proposed, taking into account the characteristics of these objects. A system of indicators for assessing the effectiveness of fire protection and recommendations for minimizing risks are proposed. The results of the study can be used in the design of new and reconstruction of existing sanatorium and resort facilities, as well as for improving the regulatory framework for fire safety. The methodology allows you to move from a formal, regulatory approach to flexible, risk-based fire safety management. This means that the facility management receives a tool to identify the weakest links in the fire protection system and can direct appropriate resources to strengthen them. The practical application of the model is not limited to the design phase; it can be used to conduct regular security audits, justify upgrades to existing systems, and develop evacuation plans that take into account occupancy and placement of people in the building.
