Abstract

An analysis of the fire prevention condition of the territory of the NPP industrial site was carried out. The most unfavorable scenarios of the occurrence and development of a fire were determined, which were simulated during the reproduction of the conditions of the temperature effect of a fire on the territory of the NPP industrial site on the operational suitability of the external fire-fighting water pipeline made of artificial polymer pipes laid underground. An analysis of the requirements of regulatory documents, sources of scientific and technical information regarding the features of the arrangement of the external fire-fighting water supply on the territory of the NPP was carried out, taking into account the functional purpose of the object and its technological specifics of functioning. A comparison of the technical characteristics of steel pipelines with pipelines made of artificial polymers was made. Computer modeling was conducted, based on the results of which, the possibility of using pipes made of artificial polymers during the reconstruction of the external fire-fighting water supply of the nuclear power plant site (hereinafter - NPP), which was laid underground, was substantiated. Additional conditions, which should be observed during its laying, are defined. It was established that during the most unfavorable conditions for the occurrence and spread of fire, the critical value of the temperature on the surface of the pipeline is not reached, and the probability of its damage or deformation due to the influence of fire is insignificant. Additional conditions are defined that must be followed when laying a new external fire-fighting water main or its reconstruction (overhaul). Conducting this research is relevant, because it will make it possible to solve the problem of corrosion of steel pipelines of the external fire water supply system, which leads to their destruction and the impossibility of performing the function as intended, replacing them, for example, with pipelines made of artificial polymers.
